General Information

Stands - Aircraft models are placed on stands. All stands have an ID number, which identifies the plane, and an arrow, which indicates the direction the plane is facing. The arrow must always point to an identifiable hex side. Write the ID number on the plane picture to insure that you can keep track of the proper aircraft.

Elevation Band Indicators - These can be low band (one inch); middle band (two inch); or high band (three inch). When moving from one band to another these indicators should be changed (i. e. when moving from high to middle band replace three inch indicator with two inch indicator).

Level Indicator - The dial that fits on the stand. The numbers 1 through 6 indicate the level the plane is in within each band. The level is the number next to the arrow on the stand. As levels change, rotate the indicator as needed.

Target Markers - Once all fighter movement has occurred each fighter that will fire places their marker on the intended target. Once shooting has occurred place the marker in the hex immediately behind the fighter to mark its location prior to movement the next turn. Fighters may fire at only one target per turn.

Dice Rolls for Damage - Attacking player should roll hit dice and roll for hit location. Defending player should roll for and mark damage results. The attacking player should only indicate damage to the attacker for those items underlined .

Victory - German victory occurs if over half of the Ju-88s exit the far end of the table. American victory otherwise.

Winning Player - Must be on side that wins the game and be the high scorer on that side.

o American Scoring - Note on the fighter sheet each time that the flight shoots down an enemy aircraft. (If more than one plane is firing at the target mark proportional hits, such as 1 of 2, 1 of 3, etc). Highest overall total wins. If a tie plane with the least damage wins. Planes that are shot down cannot win.

o German Scoring - Fighters as the Americans. Bombers count enemy planes shot down PLUS get credit for one enemy plane destroyed for each two aircraft in their flight that exits the table at the far end in the high altitude band. If a tie flight with the most aircraft and least damage wins.
